Steadfast in its mission to continuously spread awareness about the importance of bees in our ecosystem, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Middle East & Africa, and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Dubai,

AGMC invited 21 curious minds from Nord Anglia School to visit the Rolls-Royce Apiary located in Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.

An initiative that has sat close to the hearts of everyone in the Rolls-Royce family, the Dubai Apiary was ‘abuzz’ as students from a variety of different age groups immersed themselves in the magical world of these essential, remarkable, and highly vulnerable creatures by participating in different educational activities.

Witnessing first-hand how bees operate within a hive, after an introduction and Q&A session, students began the day by touring the Apiary, observing the different stages of the bees’ lifecycle.

Always on the lookout for the benevolent ‘Emirati Queen’ bee, they learnt all about their illustrious lives, the importance of pollination and how each of the six hives was specifically built and designed to withstand Dubai’s climate. As the day went on, equipped with a wealth of knowledge, students were transformed into junior beekeepers and were put to work crafting a bee water bath in celebration of World Water Day (March 22nd ), extracting golden nectar from the various honeycombs, as well as learning how to identify real honey from fake honey during a special tasting.
