Dubai, United Arab Emirates; 12 September 2022: It’s back to school season and back to busier roads while parents rush to reach their children to schools. Al-Futtaim Toyota is taking this vital occasion to remind parents on the importance and practical measures of staying safer on the road through their recent campaign, while reaffirming Al-Futtaim Toyota’s reputation as being the customer’s reliable automotive partner throughout their journeys.
The leading automotive organisation recently announced a “Back-to-School” safety initiative in the UAE in collaboration with Dunlop, which highlights the necessity of checking, protecting and replacing car tyres as schools reopen after the hot summer.
Running from 1st September to 31st October across all Al-Futtaim Toyota Service Centres in the UAE, the safety campaign offers free tyre inspections as part of regular vehicle health checks, along with a host of free packages and services for the car as well as attractive discounts on new Dunlop Tyres.
As part of the campaign, motorists can save 20% on a set of four Dunlop tyres, and get a free tyre inspection, along with free nitrogen filling and wheel balancing.
Commenting on the initiative, Andrew Linford, Retail Director of Al Futtaim Automotive, said: “As the Back-to-School season approaches and the busy traffic returns, the safety of children is always the top priority for parents on the road. We are proud to partner with Dunlop Tyres to launch this special campaign to help parents in the UAE drive safely and with peace of mind. This campaign strengthens our long-standing reputation as the most reliable automotive partner in the UAE, while ensuring that families are riding on a safe set of tyres on their way to school or anywhere else.”
“Al-Futtaim Toyota has been on the forefront of offering thoughtful and industry-leading services for our customers through our state-of-the-art service centres. As part of that, we are constantly working to ensure the safety of our customers and their vehicles, particularly during these hot summer months of the year. We felt that a Back to School tyre check is as important as other essential school shopping,” Linford added.
According to experts at Al-Futtaim Toyota, whether a vehicle has been sitting in the garage for the long summer months or working overtime during the holidays, it requires a thorough maintenance check before the school run, and the tyres are among the most vital elements to check. Dangerous warning signs that motorists in the UAE should look out for in their tyres include cracking or cuts, uneven tread wear, excessively worn tread, bulges or blisters and excessive tyre vibration.
Tyre experts and technicians will be on hand at the Al-Futtaim Toyota Service Centres to guide motorists on proactive ways to maintain tyres, as well as provide detailed inspections that help detect any issues. The inspection points include checking the tyre type, size and rating; measuring tread depth and tyre pressure; and evaluating the tyre condition and age.
