In an exclusive launch event at Al Habtoor Motors’ flagship Deira showroom, JAC Motors unveiled the brand-new SUV to company delegates, stakeholders and media attendees. The event stood as a testament to the shared commitment to excellence and passion for the automotive industry, highlighting collaborative efforts to achieve technological advancements and market innovations.
The celebration was graced by esteemed guests, including Mr. Ahmed Khalaf Al Habtoor, CEO of Al Habtoor Motors, and Mr. Karim Maksoud, Managing Director of Al Habtoor Motors. At the event, the brand-new JS6, designed specifically for young and tech-savvy consumers, was unveiled, introducing an unprecedented ‘interstellar cockpit’ driving experience. This innovative design seamlessly combines dynamic aesthetics, scientific cockpit features, and unparalleled control, setting a new standard in automotive excellence.
Innovative design for a new era
The body of JS6 seamlessly blends fashion with practicality featuring smooth surfaces and curved forms that create a visual masterpiece. The interior, featuring a ‘Double 12.3’ suspended dual screen, knob shift, paddle shift and other cutting-edge configurations, exudes luxury and sophistication. The integration of Dxracer, INS diaphragm and a 64-color atmosphere lamp further enhances the overall sense of quality and opulence.
Measuring 4605/1890/1700mm in length, width and height, with a wheelbase of 2720mm, the JS6 ensures a relaxed ride experience with its spacious design. The innovative movable bottom plate in the trunk provides versatility and the wax injection process extends the body’s anti-corrosion life to more than 12 years. With a capacious 490L trunk, the JS6 comfortably accommodates its passengers within its spacious 5-seater configuration.
The JS6’s exterior features are designed to elevate the driving experience with a perfect blend of style and functionality. The Flagship model boasts a panoramic sunroof, allowing occupants to enjoy expansive views and a heightened sense of openness. The Flagship model is equipped with state-of-the-art LED headlamps, providing exceptional visibility and a distinctive aesthetic appeal. In the Comfort model, halogen headlamps ensure reliable illumination on the road.
Both models feature Auto Headlamp with Height adjustment, enhancing convenience and safety. The JS6’s LED Daytime Running Lights not only enhance visibility during the day but also contribute to the vehicle’s modern and dynamic look. Completing the exterior package is the flowing LED turn indicator lamp, adding a touch of sophistication to the JS6’s overall design. These exterior features not only enhance the JS6’s visual appeal but also contribute to an enhanced and safer driving experience.
Interstellar Cockpit: High-Tech and Intelligent Features
The JS6 boasts an interstellar cockpit empowered by high technology and intelligence, featuring the latest generation intelligent 4.0 vehicle networking system. With 15 ADAS functions, including a Cruise Control System (CCS) for enhanced highway driving comfort, the JS6 also features an Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system and Front Collision Warning (FCW) to mitigate potential accidents. The Auto Switching High and Low Beam (HMA) optimizes visibility during nighttime driving. Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) contribute to accident prevention, while the Blind-Spot Detection (BSD) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert System (RCTA) enhance overall awareness. The Central Child Lock Control, Electronic Anti-Theft System & Immobiliser, and ISOFIX provide additional layers of security for occupants.
The JS6 incorporates essential safety elements, including airbags, an impact-absorbing steering column, and a comprehensive Camera & Rear Parking Sensor system. Both Comfort and Flagship models feature drive mode selection (eco/comfort/sport) for personalized driving dynamics, along with the convenience of a smart key with push-button start and Auto Hold for added safety. The Flagship model takes sophistication to the next level with wireless charging and an Electric Tailgate, operated seamlessly with a foot sensor. Efficient Power and Control: Performance Specifications
Under the hood, the JS6 is powered by a 300T direct injection engine with a 1.5L displacement, delivering a maximum power of 181 HP and a peak torque of 280Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, ensuring high efficiency and energy savings.
Built on the lightweight technology of ‘unsprung weight’ by MIS, the JS6 excels in braking efficiency, steering control performance, and overall driving comfort and safety. The chassis design, with a lower center of mass, reduces curve roll, providing better handling and grip for a superior driving experience.
