Hefty fine of AED 800 and Four black points for flouting ban on using mobile phone while behind the wheel

As part of new initiative being undertaken by the Abu Dhabi police, the motorist have been warned against playing games on the mobile while driving. Anyone caught behind the wheel using a gaming app will be fined Dhs800 and given four black points. Traffic law is in place which bans drivers from taking photos, eating, texting or even applying makeup. Using mobile phones while driving not only poses a threat to the driver but also other people on the road.
