Dubai, United Arab Emirates, January 25, 2024: The second and third races of Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will take place from January 26-27 on the 2.5-kilometre Diriyah street circuit, close to the Saudi Arabian capital.
Strengthened by a very encouraging result in Mexico, the DS PENSKE team approaches the double-header with plenty of motivation and a clear performance objective.
As usual, the stars of this latest round will be the drivers. Jean-Eric Vergne and Stoffel Vandoorne are the only two world champion teammates on the grid, with Vergne winning his titles in 2018 and 2019, and Vandoorne clinching the 2022 championship. Together, they will aim to make the most of the DS E-TENSE FE23 developed by DS Performance and showcase the technical know-how of DS Automobiles.
The Diriyah E-Prix races will take place on 26 and 27 January2024, at 18:00 CET.
Eugenio Franzetti, DS Performance director:
“We come back from Mexico quite satisfied. The hard work put in by the entire team to prepare for Season 10 paid off. The goal was to improve compared to last year and we achieved that, with the cars performing well in qualifying and the race. Now we have to make an even bigger effort to get onto the podium. Diriyah will be the first double-header of the season, which is something that always requires specific preparation. Last year, it wasn’t so easy for our two cars. Today, we’re very aware that our potential is high and that we can certainly do better. We can even fight at the very top again. After Mexico the motivation of the whole team is sky high. So we’re going to use this will to win, together with all the talent of our drivers and entire team, to drive two great races in Saudi Arabia!”
