The Renault Captur is a small SUV crossover launched back in 2013 and got updated in 2017 with a new design. Being one of Renault’s most popular car in the UAE, outselling all other Renault models, the Captur focuses on style, space and fuel economy.
For 2019, Renault has given the Captur’s already eye-catching design a mid-life face lift. This includes new front and rear bumpers, fresh lights, some extra options and an improved interior trim.
The 2019 Captur is based on the Renault Clio but a bit bigger and taller which makes it more practical. Minor updates such as the new front and rear skid plates gives it more of off-road looks and therefore its own SUV like personality. The front grille of the Captur now incorporates extra chrome and gets your attention with the large Renault logo in the centre.
The front bumper gets new C shaped LED daytime running lights located right below the headlights on all trims, while the higher trims get full LED headlights.
The Captur comes in two tone color scheme plus an option of a silver roof. If you love customizing your car, in addition to these options, you now have a total of 36 color combinations to choose from.
On higher trims the Captur comes with an infotainment system consisting of a 7-inch screen. It has navigation, audio controls, front and back camera display.
You can make the interior more interesting with a choice of seven interior colors ranging from Ivory Blue to Smoked chrome. Each adds colorful accents to the centre console, air vents and steering wheel.
The Captur scores well in the storage area. It comes with a 455-liter capacity boot, therefore as compared to its rivals in the same class, Capture has more space. If you fold the rear seats the storage can be increased up to 3 times.
In the rear, there is enough amount of legroom for comfortable short city rides. Above all, the headroom is also generous because of the tall profile of the car. Seats are comfortable as you would expect from any vehicle of this class.
