Citroen Spacetourer: Practical, Spacious, Economical

The Citroen SpaceTourer is probably the most practical MPV available for sale in UAE today. It has more than enough space for the whole family and a cargo hold that could make any other van super jealous. The SpaceTourer is available in three lengths (XS: 4.60m, M: 4.95m, XL: 5.30m), including a segment-first compact version with room for up to nine people. The car we tested had a configuration to seat seven people. Two in the front, two in the second row (captains chairs) and three in the back and every single person has ample head and leg room. The Spacetourer’s steering wheel is fairly light. Be in heavy traffic inside the city or some curvy mountain roads, parking or turning the car around is very manageable. The vehicle is powered by a 2.0 Liter Diesel Engine that is paired with an 8 speed automatic transmission. The fuel economy for this vehicle will blow your mind away. In various scenarios, we travelled over 400 km in and around the city and calculated a fuel economy of 7 Liters per 100 km.  For the best part of our journey, we had 7 people in the vehicle. What is really impressive about the Spacetourer is the cabin insulation. It appears to have double glazed windows and has minimal wind or road noise. Passengers could take a nap even in the busiest of streets if they’d like. The Spacetourer is loaded with advanced tech that adds to the utility of the vehicle. It has a functional head-up display (Looks like an after thought but it works) and the ability to open the sliding side doors by moving your foot under the corner of the rear bumper. This is a real plus when installing a child seat or booster seat.

Citroen Spacetourer Exterior:

This vehicle has a simple exterior design. Much like any other van, it is rectangular in styling. It has a high roof and large rear doors that slide rather than swinging open to help passengers climb in easily.

Citroen Spacetourer Interior:

We tested the Business Lounge Trim of the Spacetourer. It focuses on the comfort of the driver and its passengers equally and features a high-class, elegant interior. Its 4 or 5 seat face to face seat configuration provides ideal travel conditions for a family or a group of business professionals. Since we had the Spacetourer for the weekend, the whole family had a memorable trip to the AlQudra Lakes. We found the face to face setting ideal for snacks, board games and story-time. The Citroen Spacetourer also features a split panoramic sunroof that lets in maximum natural light while offering UV protection. It also has separate sun-blinds to control the ambiance and stylishly located in between the split sun roof, are the airplane style AC controls and vents.
