The Golf Fan Fest, open to the public from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., invites enthusiasts across the UAE to experience the iconic hatchback alongside its range-topping sibling, the Golf R.

The program at the renowned circuit includes guided track sessions for select participants. Drivers will get an opportunity to put both the agile Golf GTI and the more potent Golf R through their paces in a controlled motorsport setting.

The Golf GTI has long served as a standard-bearer for accessible performance. In the UAE, the latest version starts at 138,900 dirhams. The Golf R extends the model’s capabilities further through advanced powertrain and chassis technology.

Matthias Ziegler, managing director of Volkswagen Middle East, highlighted the model’s broader appeal. “The GTI has always been more than just a badge,” he said. “It represents a global community united by a shared passion for driving. With the Golf Fan Fest, we are proud to bring that spirit to the UAE, inviting fans from across the region to celebrate this incredible 50-year legacy with us.”

Visitors will also find static displays of Volkswagen performance models, commentary from professional racer Benny Leuchter and a specially arranged Suhoor to suit the holy month of Ramadan.

Through the event, Volkswagen aims to strengthen ties with its regional audience by bringing together drivers who share an appreciation for engineering excellence and driving enjoyment.

The Golf Fan Fest arrives as the GTI reaches a notable milestone, offering a blend of nostalgia for its five-decade history and a showcase of its current strengths at one of the Middle East’s premier venues.
