Two Aston Martin Vantage GT3 cars will compete in the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring this weekend, as the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship moves to the demanding Florida circuit.
The Heart of Racing returns with drivers Tom Gamble, Dudu Barrichello and Zacharie Robichon in the No. 27 Vantage GT3 Evo. The team placed third in last year’s Sebring race and seeks to secure the first class victory for a Vantage in the event. Gamble is a works FIA World Endurance Championship driver with the Valkyrie program, Barrichello is an emerging Brazilian GT competitor, and Robichon earned pole in GTD at Daytona and won the 2021 IMSA GTD title.
Van der Steur Racing, competing in the full 2026 IMSA season, fields the No. 19 entry with Rory van der Steur, Valentin Hasse Clot and Sébastien Baud. The lineup combines the young American driver with two French competitors, including works driver Hasse Clot.
Sebring holds a prominent place in Aston Martin’s North American GT history. The DBR9 secured a GT1 class win on its debut there in 2005 with Darren Turner, David Brabham and Stephane Ortelli. The brand has since recorded nine additional podiums across various GT categories, including five for Vantage models since 2015.
The current Vantage GT3 shares its bonded aluminum chassis architecture with the road-going Vantage and is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine. The model won the 2024 24 Hours of Spa, widely regarded as the premier GT3-only endurance event.
