The Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East roared back into action with Round 3 of the 2025/2026 season at the Dubai Autodrome on January 24-25, delivering a weekend of pure adrenaline for motorsport fans in the UAE.

What is the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup ?

This premier one-make series pits drivers against each other in identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, powerful rear-engined machines capable of blistering speeds and razor-sharp handling. With no mechanical advantages, it’s all about skill, strategy, and bravery in wheel-to-wheel battles on the demanding GP circuit.

The action kicked off with intense qualifying sessions, followed by two gripping races filled with overtakes and close finishes. Australian driver Caleb Sumich shone brightly, securing a race win (his second of the season); while Japanese rookie sensation Taichi Watarai maintained his dominance at the front, further extending his championship lead.

Post-round standings highlight the tight competition:
  • Taichi Watarai (JPN) – 82.5 points
  • Khaled Alahmadi (KSA) – 51.5 points
  • Caleb Sumich (AUS) – 49 points

  • Hosted by Porsche Centre Dubai and Al Nabooda Automobiles, the event was a perfect showcase of high-performance Porsche engineering right here in the Emirates.
