Jameel Motors, a leading international provider of mobility solutions, announced on Thursday a collaboration with WeRide, a global leader in autonomous driving technology, to expand driverless Robotaxi services across the United Arab Emirates.
The partnership centers on Jameel Motors’ investment in Farizon Auto electric vehicles, part of Geely Holding Group, to support deployment of WeRide’s Robotaxi GXR fleet. The vehicles, built on the Farizon SV platform, offer a spacious cabin, advanced safety features and efficient operation suited to urban environments. The Farizon SV earned a five-star Euro NCAP rating in 2025.
With more than 80 years of automotive experience, Jameel Motors will work with WeRide on fleet readiness, local operations and regulatory matters to help scale reliable services. WeRide currently operates nearly 250 Robotaxis in the Middle East.
The effort aligns with Dubai’s goal, outlined by the Dubai Future Foundation, to make 25 percent of all journeys autonomous by 2030.

WeRide supplies the autonomous technology while Jameel Motors provides fleet investment and operational support. The initiative builds on Dubai’s progress toward commercial autonomous transport, following the issuance of a driverless vehicle permit in February 2026.
