Dubai, UAE, April 17th, 2023: INTERSECT BY LEXUS, the fine dining venue at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), has announced a partnership with the UAE Food Bank to provide meals to those in need.
Taking place from sundown onwards, the Iftar at INTERSECT BY LEXUS will welcome guests with traditional refreshments, mezze and classic Ramadan fare combined with delicious Asian dishes throughout the Holy Month.
In a bid to help those less fortunate and reduce food waste, INTERSECT BY LEXUS will be pre-packaging excess food from their daily Iftar buffet taking place throughout the Holy Month to be collected each night and distributed to those in need.
The initiative is being led by the UAE Food Bank, a non-profit charitable organisation, launched on 4th January 2017 under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives that is committed to distributing food to the needy, whether surplus or donated, in cooperation with local and international institutions. It is the first food bank in the UAE, and has distributed more than 50 million meals since its establishment.
To distribute the meals, the UAE Food Bank has partnered with the Tarahum Foundation, a charity approved by the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai to serve those in need throughout the UAE.
The Ramadan Iftar menu is the latest experience from INTERSECT BY LEXUS offering guests a personalised taste of exquisite modern Asian fusion dishes along with the renowned Japanese Omotenashi hospitality and the creative confluence of art, design, and technology.
