“FJ Company” is a US-based firm and exclusively involved in the restoration of the FJ series. Custom rebuilt by hand and upgraded. FJ models are sourced by the company all over the world after going through a detailed process before it can go in restoration.
The original chassis is modified, reinforced, and hot-dip galvanized. The restoration also includes a new engine, transmission, suspension, and other mechanicals. The FJ Company completely disassembled the entire body and chassis down to the very last nut and bolt.
Rotten and rusted panels are removed and replaced with new panels as per the original design and for this, the FJ company deployed a metal dye press machine so, that an exact accurate panel can be reproduced.
The Toyota also received upgraded power steering, disc brakes, a new five-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, modern suspension components, a stainless steel exhaust system, traction and stability control, locking differentials, and LED lighting.
These modifications were made to ensure the Land Cruiser could accept some new components which in this case, includes a Toyota-sourced 4.0-liter V6 (1GR-FE) engine upgraded with a Magnuson supercharger to produce in excess of 320 hp.
Every step of restoration is pictured and documented and presented to the owner. The entire project takes 12 to 18 months and the base price starts at $180,000.
