In a thrilling finale at Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Jamie Day and Kobe Pauwels clinched the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup Silver Cup championship for Comtoyou Racing with the Aston Martin Vantage GT3. The duo, starting the weekend as favorites, secured the title with a race to spare after a strong second-place finish in the first race, where Pauwels took pole position.

The #21 Comtoyou Racing team dominated the season, earning three consecutive victories and two pole positions. Day, a 2024 Aston Martin Racing Driver Academy winner, celebrated the milestone of securing the first championship for the latest Vantage GT3, powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine. “Winning this championship is surreal, and doing it with the new Vantage GT3 is extra special,” said Day.

The Vantage GT3, launched in 2024, has already claimed victories in major championships, including the Spa 24 Hours, WEC, IMSA, and Super GT. Adam Carter, Aston Martin’s Head of Endurance Motorsport, praised Day’s talent and the car’s potential, marking this as a significant step in Aston Martin’s storied racing legacy.
