The Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar delivered standout performances on both sides of the Atlantic, achieving its best race results yet in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) at Spa-Francorchamps and maintaining a perfect finishing record in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Laguna Seca.

At Spa, the Valkyrie secured 13th and 14th overall in the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, with the #007 car, driven by Tom Gamble and Harry Tincknell, battling for points until a late energy stop dropped it from a potential top-10 finish. The #009 car, piloted by Alex Riberas and Marco Sørensen, also ran flawlessly. Both cars stayed on the lead lap at the demanding Spa circuit, showcasing significant progress. “Step by step, we’re improving,” said Tincknell. “We’re flying now, and the car’s performance is coming together.”

Across the ocean at Laguna Seca, the THOR Team’s Valkyrie, driven by Ross Gunn and Roman De Angelis, secured a third consecutive points finish with a 10th-place result, despite a puncture caused by contact. This follows 10th at Sebring and 8th at Long Beach, extending the car’s 100% finishing record in IMSA’s GTP class. “It’s been a positive weekend,” Gunn noted. “We’re closing the gap to the midfield and learning for the next race in Detroit.”

Adam Carter, Aston Martin’s Head of Endurance, praised the Valkyrie’s reliability and progress: “Eight finishes in nine starts across both championships is a strong foundation for a new hypercar program. We’re on an upward trajectory as we head toward Le Mans.”

The Valkyrie, the first Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) from Aston Martin, is unique as the only car in IMSA’s GTP class derived from a road-legal hypercar and the only LMH competing in both WEC and IMSA. Built with a race-optimized carbon fiber chassis and a 6.5-litre V12 engine limited to 680bhp per regulations, it blends cutting-edge technology with thrilling performance.

With Le Mans looming (June 14-15), the Valkyrie’s debut season is proving its potential as a global contender.
