Drag Strip wars have heated up to an all time high with Shelby launching the “Dragon Snake”. A modified version of the Ford’s Mustang Shelby GT500, the car boasts considerably more power with less weight and better handling.
The modifications on the Dragon Snake include a 5.2-liter supercharged V-8 promising to deliver over 800 horsepower in comparison to the 760 Bhp of the stock engine.
Shelby has focused on the straight run acceleration of the car and modified the suspension to deliver peak performance and still maintain a good grip in the corners. High-flow catalytic converters have been added to the 7 speed dual clutch transmission.
While the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is already an aggressive-looking beast of a car, the Dragon Snake features a high-downforce rear wing, extra vents in the hood, new side skirts and custom wheels.
The weight has also been reduced, with one of the key mods being lighter glass panels.
The Dragon Snake logos are found in abundance inside and out. The logos, much like the rear wing, are a bit too bold and maybe not for everyone’s taste.
Track racing, competing, it's in my blood. It's part of me, it's part of my life; I have been doing it all my life and it stands out above everything else.
