The RHO’s launch control is supported by its Bilstein Black Hawk adaptive dampers and electronically locking rear differential, which help maintain traction during hard launches.

For best results, ensure you’re in an environment where high-performance driving is safe and legal, such as a racetrack or closed course.

Always prioritize safety and legality.

Launch Control in the RAM RHO

To execute launch control in the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, follow these steps.

Ensure Proper Conditions:

The vehicle must be on a flat, stable surface.
Confirm the truck is in good mechanical condition, with sufficient fuel and no active warning lights. Launch Control Mode is designed to optimize acceleration by minimizing wheelspin, so ensure the tires are in good condition and appropriate for the surface.

Activate Launch Control:

Locate the Launch Control button, which is typically near the drive mode selector to the right of the steering.

Press and hold the Launch Control button to engage the system. The RHO’s launch control is designed to monitor wheel speed versus vehicle speed, adapting engine power to maximize traction and avoid wheelspin.

Prepare for Launch:

With Launch Control activated, press the brake pedal firmly with your left foot to hold the vehicle stationary.

Fully depress the accelerator pedal with your right foot. The system will hold the engine at an optimal RPM for maximum acceleration.

The vehicle’s electronics, including the traction control and engine management systems, will prepare for a controlled launch.

Execute the Launch:

Release the brake pedal while keeping the accelerator fully depressed. The RHO’s Launch Control Mode will manage power delivery to the 540-hp twin-turbo 3.0L Hurricane inline-six engine and the four-wheel-drive system to minimize wheelspin and optimize acceleration.
Expect the RHO to reach 100 kmph in approximately 4.6 seconds, as claimed by Ram, when properly executed.

Post-Launch:

After the launch, ease off the accelerator as needed and drive normally. Launch Control Mode will disengage automatically once the launch sequence is complete, but you may need to manually switch out of Sport mode (if you executed this on the sport mode)
