We got behind the wheel of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra last week, the one with full options and the carbon package. What strikes the most is how Xiaomi has turned this four-door sedan into a genuine road-legal race car.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Exterior

The exterior features extensive aerodynamic upgrades, including 17 carbon-fibre components. A large front splitter, a fully carbon-fibre roof that saves 12 kilograms, and a massive rear wing generate up to 285 kilograms of downforce.

Underneath, the chassis integrates an FIA-grade roll cage and rides on twenty-one-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero tyres and dual-chamber air suspension.

Carbon-ceramic brakes deliver impressive stopping power, bringing the car from 100 kilometres per hour to zero in just 30.8 metres.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Powertrain

The powertrain is where the real drama lies. Three Xiaomi-developed electric motors produce 1,547 horsepower and 1,777 Nm of torque. This allows the SU7 Ultra to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in 1.98 seconds and reach a top speed above 350 km per hour.

While driving on the track, it feels like the car is glued to the road with its adaptive air suspension and it handles corners better than I expected from something this quick.

The interior combines Alcantara and carbon fibre, with racing-style seats that offer ten-point massage, double-glazed windows, and a premium twenty-five-speaker audio system.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Battery and Charging

The battery gives me a real-world range of around 500 kilometers in mixed city and highway driving which is plenty for daily use around Dubai.

Charging is fast too you can go from ten to eighty percent in roughly eleven minutes on a good DC charger.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Price in Dubai

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is retailing at around AED 370,000 through a dealer here in Dubai AlAweer market who imports them directly, this electric supercar is worth every penny.

One thing to keep in mind is that because Xiaomi does not have official dealerships here yet, the warranty is basically what the importer provides usually around two years. Servicing has to go through them as well so factor that in.

In our few days of testing it, it felt like a supercar but with the running costs of an electric vehicle.
