Most racing cars are based on modified road cars and while automotive manufacturers have always thought of doing it the other way, the amount of work involved is just too much. This is where the Audi ABT team did not give up.

After two years of intensive work and overcoming numerous challenges, ABT have achieved what once seemed impossible: 99 hand-built masterpieces, each embodying the spirit of a race car for the road.

Audi ABT XGT Specs

The Audi ABT XGT’s unbridled 5.2-litre V10 engine delivers 640 HP (470 kW)* and has a comparatively light 1,400 kg unladen weight, making it an absolute top athlete in its class.

In addition, the exclusive exterior and the incomparable, awe-inspiring sound make it unmistakably clear: This is not a super sports car with a racing look – this is a road-legal racing car.

It even features the steering wheel which was specially made for the race version and this racing machine is aimed at sporty drivers and motorsport enthusiasts.

Audi ABT XGT for daily use

Anyone who has long dreamed of getting behind the wheel of a real racing car will find the ABT XGT more than worth the investment.

To ensure practicality for daily use, the fuel system from a street car was incorporated, the instrument cluster was adapted, and additions like the handbrake, central locking, reversing camera, and immobilizer were included.

ABT also upgraded the control panel, which now includes electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, air conditioning, and turn signals. The custom exhaust system meets Germany’s strict emissions standards.

Naturally, safety was a top priority: the XGT underwent rigorous side and frontal crash tests, and extensive testing ensured compliance with all German regulations regarding braking and noise levels.
