Mercedes Maybach S600 screams understated super-luxury class. It supersedes older models under the Maybach name – namely the S57 and S62 – in delivering an ultra lavish but subtle driving experience.

Mercedes’ S Class range is not for light wallets. This range is brimming with the highest quality of materials in a luxury sedan but rest assured that the Maybach S 600 is at the apex of the model tree with a price tag of AED 950,000.

The exterior is in line with the low-key approach that most well-heeled business men look for in a vehicle. It is elegantly sexy without being flashy. It draws the eye but won’t make them pop like a Rolls Royce Phantom or Bentley Mulsanne. For those who wish to showcase themselves in a Rolls Royce or Bentley the aristocratic Mercedes Maybach S600 is not for them.

Keeping true to its brand slogan of “the best or nothing”, Mercedes Benz has left no stone unturned in giving Mercedes fans a super luxury sedan worth their money.

The S600 has several notable outer features such as a longer (207 mm) and taller (added 2mm in height) frame. This helps in giving the car more leg room and an even more spacious interior than the long-wheelbase S-Class.

Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 engine which will cost a pretty penny to run and maintain but the Maybach can return fuel economy of just 24.1mpg, and CO2 emissions of 274g/km. The S600L is fast, it goes from 0 to 100km/h within 4.6 seconds.

The S Class Maybach includes a comprehensive list of equipment, such as the chrome twin exhaust system, keyless entry to the car, tinted rear windows, LED headlights, a sliding panoramic sunroof, velour floor mats, ventilated front and back seats, electric sun blinds and rear massage seats,

The Maybach is installed with Mercedes’ Air Balance fragrance system and a 360 degree camera system outside. It also has acres of high quality wood, fabric and leather. Not to forget the S-Class’s sporty circular air vents.

Once you park your rear-end in the front seat you have access to the Mercedes-Benz 12.3in Command infotainment system, which includes the sat nav plus all the internet connectivity devices you may need. The rear seats boast an entertainment package which comprises of 10 inch screens, a DVD player and wireless headphones.

For an extra price of approximately AED 40,000 – buyers can also get the First Class Cabin option, which gives two individual rear seats that recline, rather than the three seat bench. This option comes with a fridge and silver-plated champagne flutes.

Mercedes-Benz claims that the Maybach S-600 is the quietest and smoothest luxury sedan that can be bought and it is a claim that cannot be argued with. It not only delivers comfort and top notch technology, what may sound odd is that the Maybach S600 is actually priced at a very good market rate considering the standard kit list and non-cost options against competitors.

In conclusion, it’s an unmatched luxurious driving experience.
