An entirely new collection of eye-catching, efficient and mission-capable concept vehicles will be unveiled and driven off-road during the 57th annual Easter Jeep Safari™ (April 1-9, 2023) in Moab, Utah, the Jeep® brand’s home away from home.
We are fortunate to get some insights on the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Sideburn Concept.
Under the hood, the Gladiator Sideburn concept runs on a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine and is equipped with a JPP 2-inch (5 cm) lift kit and BILSTEIN performance shock absorbers, which use remote reservoirs for increased cooling and suspension travel.
The vehicle is mounted on black HRE 17-by-9-inch FT1 six-spoke wheels and 37-by-13-inch BF Goodrich tires, which provide excellent traction on any terrain.
To protect the seven-slot front grille from the 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary edition, the concept vehicle features a custom-designed tubular grille guard that folds down to create a bumper bench, ideal for relaxing while on the trails. A modified Rubicon bumper with a Warn winch adds to the vehicle’s off-road capabilities.
The Gladiator Sideburn concept introduces a custom JPP limb-riser, which uses heavy-duty cables to direct loose branches and brush up and over the roofline, minimizing damage to the hood and windshield.
Additional features include removable 11-inch (28 cm) TYRI rectangular LED lights, bed steps on both sides, a mid-shelf with tie downs for portable storage totes, and a bed-mounted spare tire carrier that accommodates a 37-inch wheel and tire.
The cabin is trimmed in Vienesse Relicate Nappa leather with Soul-stopper thread, while stainless-steel JPP pedal covers and a JPP heavy-duty vinyl floor system offer functional yet stylish design elements. The open-air feel of the Sideburn Gladiator concept is enhanced by JPP half doors, side steps, and grab handles.
