Aston Martin has introduced the DB12 S, a new halo model that elevates the already impressive DB12 grand tourer. This version starts with the DB12’s focus on thrilling, driver-centered performance and luxury.
It adds more power, sharper dynamics, bold exterior updates, and refined interior touches. The result is the pinnacle of Aston Martin’s Super Tourer lineup.
At its core, the DB12 S features a more powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine from Aston Martin. It now produces 700 PS at 6,000 rpm, up 20 PS from before. Torque reaches 800 Nm between 3,000 and 6,000 rpm. This delivers quick response, strong acceleration, and a top speed of 202 mph.
The car also gets a new exhaust system with quad stainless steel tailpipes. Engineers tuned it to highlight engine sounds across the rev range for deeper, more intense notes. An optional titanium version boosts bass, mid, and treble frequencies. It raises the sound by 1.5 dB and cuts weight by 11.7 kg compared to steel.
Powertrain tweaks improve the launch control, cutting gearshift times by over 50 percent. This shaves 0.1 seconds off the 0-60 mph sprint, now at 3.4 seconds. Throttle calibration feels more progressive with a new map for better driver connection.
Chassis upgrades enhance agility and precision. Software updates to the Bilstein DTX dampers control roll and pitch better. A stiffer rear anti-roll bar and adjusted camber, toe, and caster settings boost front-end grip and overall handling. Steering and electronic differential tuning add natural response, letting drivers use more throttle in corners for balanced stability.
Standard carbon ceramic brakes, 410 mm at the front and 360 mm at the rear, improve stopping power and heat resistance. They reduce unsprung weight by 27 kg, aiding ride quality and steering. The next-generation corner braking control system helps maintain stability during trail braking, enabling later braking and tighter lines on roads or tracks.
Simon Newton, Aston Martin Director of Vehicle Performance, said, “The technology we introduced with the DB12 now allows us exceptional scope to explore a new depth of character and capability within the same vehicle platform. With DB12 S we have carefully engineered a host of detailed changes, which preserve signature levels of refinement, boost vehicle performance and amplify driver engagement. Having added this greater dynamic and performance bandwidth to DB12 S, we believe this elevates the Super Tourer ethos to a thrilling new level.”
On the outside, the DB12 S looks more aggressive. A new front splitter lowers and widens the stance while creating downforce and managing airflow. Gloss black bonnet louvres, optional in carbon fiber, vent heat and sharpen the front view. Gloss black side sills extend the low profile. “S” badges on the fenders, hand-forged in chrome with red enamel, mark its status.
The rear emphasizes power with a fixed spoiler for stability, a diffuser to cut lift, and stacked quad exhausts in a wider bumper.
Inside, red accents highlight the drive mode controller, seatbelts, stitching, and headrests. Options include an Alcantara heated steering wheel and embossed wings on seats. Trim choices are Accelerate leather-Alcantara, or Inspire S semi-aniline leather with Alcantara and quilting. Standard 16-way Sport Plus seats can upgrade to carbon fiber versions.
The DB12 S is available to order now as a coupe or Volante. Deliveries start in the first quarter of 2026.

Aston Martin DB12 S
The DB12 S joins other high-performance models like the DBX S and Vantage S. It continues Aston Martin’s tradition of using the “S” badge for the top version of a model line. This practice dates back to 1953 with the DB3S road racer. Later examples include the Vanquish S from 2004 and 2016, Vantage S models from 2011 and 2013, and the Rapide S from 2013.At its core, the DB12 S features a more powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine from Aston Martin.
