Earlier in the week, I took the 2025 Audi RS5 for a spin on the Dubai Autodrome, and wow, what a ride!

The Audi RS5 is a beast, and its performance left me in awe. If I was to break down what made it so special: its lightning-fast acceleration, slick torque vectoring, and the legendary Audi Quattro system.

2025 Audi RS5: Engine and Performance

First, the speed. The RS5’s 2.9L twin-turbo V6 pumps out 444 horsepower, and it rockets from 120 km/h to 240 km/h in a flash. It felt like the car just leaped forward, hitting those high speeds in what seemed like no time—around 8-9 seconds for that 120-240 km/h sprint, based on how it pinned me back. Whether I was blasting down the straights or chasing speed out of corners, the RS5 delivered power so smoothly it was almost too easy.

Then there’s the torque vectoring, which made cornering a dream. This tech sends more power to the outside rear wheel when you turn, helping the car rotate like it’s on rails. I could feel it hugging the bends tightly, especially on Dubai Autodrome’s twisty sections. Even when I pushed hard or braked late, the RS5 stayed glued to the track, giving me confidence to attack every corner.

The real star, though, is Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. It’s not just any AWD—it’s tuned to send up to 70% of the power to the rear wheels, making the RS5 feel sporty and alive, almost like a rear-wheel-drive car. This setup gave me insane grip, whether I was flooring it out of a turn or holding steady through high-speed sweeps. It’s no wonder I felt so planted, even when pushing the car to its limits.

Driving the Audi RS5 was pure fun. It is fast, controlled, and thrilling. The car that makes you want to keep lapping the track. Oh, and I had a cool chat with Audi Dubai’s GM about the future of Audi’s emotional cars.

They’re cooking up something special to keep that driving passion alive!
