The 2020 Toyota Avalon is a full-size five-seater front-wheel-drive sedan that is a flagship among its fleet. Currently, on its 5th-generation wholly redesigned in 2018, this year 2020 marks the 25th anniversary for the Avalon. This vehicle has been dominating among its competitors. This vehicle is available in two models: XLE Limited I am currently driving the 2020 Toyota Avalon XLE, which is the base model. This car is luxurious and does a flawless job cruising with no discomfort. If you’re the type of driver who likes to floor the accelerator, then this car is not meant for you. The market has been constantly shifting to crossovers, hybrids, and EV, but Avalon has stuck to its roots. This vehicle emphasizes on providing premium features to the passengers within the car. This vehicle is dense with low clearance making it grounded with a better grip on the road. Driving this vehicle is smooth, and the response from the steering is incredible. Both the trims are equipped with MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension. These suspensions provide precision handling on sharp turns and absorb every bump on the road.

Specs:

Engine: 3.5 Liter – 6 Cylinders DOHC 24V VVT Horsepower: 298 Bhp Torque:  36.3 Nm Drive System: Rear Wheel Drive Transmission: 8 Speed Automatic The base and the higher trim have the same engine specification, which is a 3.5-liter V-6 that produces a 301 horsepower. While accelerating this car, you can feel the power sent to the front wheels through an 8-speed AT—the powertrain of the V-6 does a great job in tugging the Avalon. This vehicle’s engine can push a 0-100 km/hr in flat 6.0 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/hr. The fuel economy measures 9.35 kmpl for the city, while 13.18 kmpl for the highway.

Exterior:

This vehicle is a full-size sedan with a long wheelbase, making the car look longer and broader. But even though it is long, I would say that it is slightly muscular and toned as well. The enormous grille sticks out, making this the most prominent external feature of the Avalon. Additionally, the grille extends all the way to the end of the bumpers. Furthermore, they are thick, bold, and give the vehicle a mean look. The standard LED headlights are sharp and long, extending all-the-over the wheel, giving it an exquisite look. The vehicle is fitted with 17″ alloy wheels with power-adjustable side mirrors.

Interior:

The cabin inside is open and airy, with lots of space. The cabin is covered with premium materials. The dashboard is draped with a combination of leather and a wood panel accent. The steering is wrapped with soft leather for a comfortable grip while driving. Just behind the steering wheel, the gauge cluster is 7” TFT displays essential information of the engine such as fuel economy, speed, and maintenance messages. The seats are covered with soft synthetic leather that provide absolute comfort sitting in them. Additionally, the seats guards on their sides to prevent you from tossing on sharp turns. The height and legroom can be well adjusted to your satisfaction with power levels located on the side. The front and rear seats have ample room for tall passengers to stretch their legs. The center console is broad and drops down like a waterfall. The console divides the driver and the passenger away from each other. Located on top of the center console is a 9.0-inch touchscreen that includes features such as Bluetooth, and phone-based GPS navigation. Apple Carplay and Android Auto features are not available. The console connects to an eight-speaker audio system that is the standard setup. But can be upgraded to a 14-speaker JBL system. The console displays a birds-eye-view, as well as several camera angles to make parking easier. Every Avalon has four USB charge ports located right next to the gear. Just beside the gear are three buttons to switch the car mode from sport to eco. The capacity of the trunk is 16.1 cubic feet of cargo. The rear seats have a standard 60/40 split, folding them down grants you access to more space. The trunk and large and can easily accommodate two large bags.
