The latest fourth-generation 2020 Renault Megane RS is a five-seater compact saloon car. The vehicle speaks the latest design language when it stands among its competitors. The Megane RS is a well-crafted machine putting the hatchback “back” in business. Compared to its predecessors this vehicle is larger and lower which provides ample space. This is available with two trims
The Megane RS is not only stunning to look at but it has been an absolute benchmark at handling. Driving this car is a thrilling experience especially with the added 4CONTROL system which does an amazing job at sharp turns. The vehicle lives up to its sport mechanics having the struts installed within its hydraulic suspensions in the front and rear tires. Driving this car on rugged terrain does absorb the shocks but I would not advise since the bumpers are low and could get damaged.
This car can be driven within the city and well as the highway. With its light-built bodyweight, the Megane RS can accelerate immediately given from its quick-response time. From time-to-time flooring, this car within the speed limits on the highway gave me pure joy, especially the sounds emitted from the exhaust. The ambiance within the vehicle has a low humming sound which can easily dissipate over the radio.

The French are talented at designing vehicles and this is one of them. The previous generations had a pointy back, while this new car is much flatter. The new design and yellow paint job on the car is bold which definitely makes a presence on the road.
The bumpers are thin blade-like at the front inspired from formula one giving it an aerodynamic design. Complimenting the bumper is the mesh grille at the center holding a large badge of Renault as a pride. The LED Day Time running lights have a unique shape of a music note and fog lights are three-dot trinkets that ensure clear visibility only in adverse conditions.
As we walk along the sides, there is a noticeable 19-inch black diamond alloy wheels. Just above the rims is a side extract vent which is not only aesthetically appealing but increases the performance of the vehicle. Furthermore, the car has an LED turn signal on door mirrors.
The rear is beautifully designed with a central exhaust exit and long taillights co-joining in the center highlighting the Renault symbol. Gorgeously placed is a wide lip spoiler at the top within the design unnoticed.
Most of the Renaults I have driven have not had the best interior quality, but this car has changed my perspective. The cabin is spacious and covered with carbon grey leather with subtle touches of red.
The seats are made of Alcantara leather which is soft synthetic leather that keeps you within your seat on sharp turns. Furthermore, these seats are bucket designed for support and comfort. The height and legroom can be well adjusted to your satisfaction with power levels located on the side. Surprisingly, the front and rear seats have ample room for tall passengers to stretch their legs.
The steering is wrapped with soft leather for a comfortable grip while driving. Just behind the steering wheel, the gauge cluster is fully customized to your needs. The gauge displays the analysis of your drive and performance. Additionally, it displays information in real-time and stores information for the future.
At the center of the dashboard is a large 7” infotainment portrait screen which is completely digital. Apart from the 8 speakers Bose audio system and navigation, the drive select system can be selected as per your customized preference. Additionally, Apple Carplay and Android Auto is available. Furthermore, you have the option to choose the color of the interior ambient lighting as per your mood.
While I did mention most of the center console is digital, the air conditioning controls remain physical knobs. Just below the climate control system are the USB charge ports. The gear remains standard There is also an electronic parking brake that can be activated by pull the lever.
The capacity of the trunk is 15.3 cubic feet of cargo which ample compared to other hatchbacks. The rear seats have a standard 60/40 split, folding them down grants you access to more space.
