2020 Kia Rio: Review, Specs and Price in UAE

The 2020 Kia Rio is a subcompact four-door sedan initially manufactured and sold in the year 2000. Since then, the vehicle has been revised several times. Currently, this vehicle is in its fourth-generation and was launched in 2017. Since then, it has been doing a great job meeting customer expectations. 

 

The 2020 Kia Rio is a reliable small car and it drives better than many compact cars, which makes it even more appealing. This car is manufactured in two trims as follows:

 

K 1.4 MPI 

K 1.6 MPI 

 

We have the K 1.4 MPI trim, which is the base trim among the trim levels. This vehicle is fitted with quality suspension, which makes the drive comfortable on the highway and within the city. The car has an excellent response and feedback from the steering, making it gentle at turns. However, the tires are narrow, which makes the car pleasant to drive, but not recklessly. While coming to a stop, braking the car takes a while, reminding us that this car is not equipped with ABS.

Although the 2020 Rio has less power, it’s much more fuel-efficient than its previous models. The fuel consumption is 14.03 km per liter within the city and 17.43 km per liter on the highway. This vehicle is considered to be one of the greenest cars among other petrol cars. 

 

Exterior:

 

The Kia Rio doesn’t look like a basic small car. Its smart design exterior body consists of sharp lines and styling details, which elevates its beauty on the roads. The Kia Rio does have a hatchback version as well. Both designs share the same front end, with a wide, pinched grille and a thin line of chrome flanked by big headlamp. 

 

 

Apart from the electric foldable mirrors, this vehicle comes with a standard 15″ inch steel wheels, which can be upgraded to 16″ alloy wheels.

 

 

It also has a low trunk opening with a pole-type antenna sticking out at the center.

Interior:

 

The interiors of the Kia Rio’s are spacious, with an easy-to-use dashboard with climate and audio controls. There is plenty of hard plastic, but it’s nicely textured, and the overall interior appearance is mature and sophisticated for a subcompact. 

 

 

The steering is wrapped with synthetic leather giving you a comforting feeling while driving also installed with audio remote steering-control. Additionally, the steering has a telescopic & tilt feature to adjust the angles as per your preference. 

 

 

Just behind the steering is a 2.8-inch LCD gauge cluster, which makes driving safer. The gauge displays essential information of the engine, such as fuel economy, speed, and maintenance messages. 

 

 

The seats are made of soft cotton fabric for proving absolute comfort while driving. These seats are equipped with side supports to help keep you in your position on sharp turns. The legroom can be adjusted for the front row passengers while the height adjustment cannot be made due to fix mounting points. The legroom for the front seats are more than adequate, but not as much for the rear-seat passengers.

 

 

At the center is a well-equipped 5-inch infotainment system consisting of standard features such as Android Auto, Apple Carplay, bluetooth, radio, auxiliary input, and USB port. A manual climate controller is located just below the console.

 

The cargo’s capacity is 13.7 cubic feet, which can fit up to one large bag. This space can be expanded by folding the 60/40 rear seats. Unfortunately, the second row cannot be tilted all the way flat due to its design restrictions.
