The 2020 model of the BMW 7 Series 730LI is bold, beautiful and oozing with confidence. It is elegantly sophisticated, has strikingly innovative control, unmatched driver assistance and connectivity technology. Getting straight to the highlights, I loved the adaptive air suspension. Traveling in the 730 Li actually feels like gliding through clouds. The sophisticated chassis technology delivers a near perfect balance between luxurious ride comfort and a relatively dynamic flair. Acceleration on the BMW 730 Li is smooth and heart racing. We clocked the 0 – 100 km dash at 6.5 seconds, a better driver can obviously improve these numbers. While the car is loaded with a wide range of driver assist features, busy business professionals will love the Microsoft Office 365 and Skype for Business. A safety feature particularly worth appreciating is the low-speed automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. The BMW 7 Series has exceptional fuel economy, we drove the car in all different drive modes and found the combined average to be around 8 liters per 100 kms travelled. Test driving the car for a week brings me to a personal verdict that I would prefer to be driven in this car rather than driving it myself. It is that luxurious and comfortable!

The 2020 BMW 730 Li has a sharp new exterior profile. The bonnet has more precise, sculpted lines and the BMW badge is clearly larger. Front bumper has been newly designed with large trim surfaces and chrome edging.Yes, there has been a lot of talk about how large (40% larger) the new BMW kidney grille is and the countless memes associated with it. But when you see the car and its grille in flesh, it all kind of looks perfect. The headlight units are slimmer and the outer air intakes now have large, painted plates with eye-catching chrome trim strips. The 2020 BMW 7 series has an extensively re-designed rear end. Rear apron contours adopt the design language of the front air intake trim. The exhaust tailpipes look modern and neat with larger chrome surrounds. New are the three-dimensional and 35-millimeters slimmer rear lights with red/black surfacing. You’ll notice a sharply defined, very slim light strip (6-millimeters wide) below the chrome bar between the rear lights that provides an extra stylistic flourish.

Interior:

The new BMW 730 Li we drove had an exclusive cognac and black Nappa leather interior with extended quilting. There are new fine wood interior trim strips and the ambient highlight in smoked-glass look creates a harmoniously crafted luxury ambience. The clutter-free leather steering wheel has been newly designed with re-structured control panels to aide the driver. The BMW 7 series cabin is exceptionally quiet. Rear & side windows have acoustic glass and you get improved sound-proofing near the rear wheel arches. There is minimal road or wind noise and when in play, the Bowers & Wilkins audio system is a real show-stopper. To make it more exciting, the rear seat entertainment system has two 10-inch Full HD touch-screen displays. If you are going to buy the BMW 7 series only for the second row features and comfort, no one could blame you. The head and legroom is great. I could write another 500 words on how amazing the seats are. They are as comfortable as a living room plush pillow lazy boy recliner if not more. There is more trunk space in the 7 Series than most cars in its class. You can fit in 3 large suitcases with ease in case you had to.
