2019 Nissan X-Trail is a large family SUV that comes in a five-seat and seven-seat version. The X-Trail debuted in 2013 and got a huge makeover in 2017 with significant changes made to the exterior of the car including new bumpers, grille and headlights. The interior went through a few modifications too overtime making it much more spacious than previous models.
As for the 2019, Nissan has carried forward the same design with small updates to the LED headlights and the front grille on the outside. Inside, the cabin feels roomier because everything is sensibly laid out and easy to access.
You can get the X-Trail in 2WD and 4WD options with a 4-cylinder 2.5L engine kicking out 169 HP. You can also choose between a 5 seater or a 7 seater version based on your preference.
With over 83,5000 units sold globally, The X-Trail is by far the best selling mid-range crossover SUV with a 5 star safety rating.
Engine: 2.5 Liter 4-cylinder
Horsepower: 169 HP
Torque: 233 Nm
Drive System: FWD or 4WD
Transmission: 6 Speed CVT
Nissan X-Trail’s good looks is one of its biggest strengths. The exterior of the X-Trail consists of elegant curves that extend from its wheel arches straight to its bonnet, displaying a bold and therefore a determined look from the front to rear tailgate.
Top spec X-Trail comes with chrome strips under the doors, a panoramic sun roof, day time running LED headlights and 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels and this is what sets it apart visually from other vehicles in its class.
When it comes to the interior, things aren’t as exciting as the outside. The inside cabin isn’t as modern and refined as some of its rivals, but it is safe to say that is functional, and has most of the features that you come to expect of a car in this category.
The dashboard is cleanly laid out with all controls within easy reach. It has got a 7-inch touch screen for navigation and audio controls. Overall the interior is not something to write home about, but it is very practical and does the job.
One of the good things about the interior is that it is spacious and therefore you get enough legroom even on the second row seats. If you need space for more people you can get the 7 seater version or get the additional seats as an add on to the 5-seater version.
X-Trail has got a big boot, in other words it has huge store space and you can further increase the storage capacity by folding down the second row seats. Under the boot there is extra storage space and place to keep the spare wheel.
The X-Trail has got the ANCAP 5-star safety rating. In addition, it has the below features.
- Autonomous Emergency Braking
- Lane Departure Warning
- Lane Keeping Assistance
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Dual Airbags
- Intelligent Rear View Mirror
- Blindspot Warning
