The 2019 Nissan Maxima SR2 looks aggressive but not mean. The stylish yet bold, Maxima is studded with updates like 19-inch diamond-cut wheels, boomerang signature LED lighting, an enlarged V-motion grille and quad exhaust tip finishers.
In our opinion, Maxima is a well-rounded full-size four door sports sedan. It is comfortable enough to please people with a taste of finer things in life, enough performance to keep a rookie racing enthusiast engaged and just the right amount of gadgets to keep the geeky millennials entertained.
The Maxima handles just about average for its size. The suspension is firm and perhaps a little too stiff for its class.
The standard jewel-like LED headlights and Nissan Signature Daytime Running Lights add to the Maxima’s premium, high performance appearance, along with the new, deep bumper design.
The new rear bumper includes integrated quad-tip exhaust finishers, while a new sport rear spoiler is also added to the Maxima SR trim.
The interior retains the Maxima’s “Gliding Wing” interior layout that emphasizes the horizontal movement and easy access to all controls, but offers updated trim finishers and materials.
Depending on grade level, the instrument panel, door panels, steering wheel insert, stitching, seat materials, headliner, pillars and A-pillar speaker grilles have been upgraded, providing a more premium look and feel.
The 2019 Maxima also comes equipped with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, with 8-inch multi-touch color display, Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System and Streaming audio via Bluetooth®.
The new Maxima’s selection of audio and infotainment choices include a Bose® Premium Audio system with 11 speakers.
Lastly, over-the-air updates allow owners to update the audio unit software and maps via WiFi or a USB device without making a trip to the dealership.

The centerfold of Maxima’s aggressive, updated exterior appearance is its voluminous front grille with a deeper V-motion flow that carries into the hood. It continues right down the body to the redesigned rear tail lamps and rear bumper.

Interior:
Inside, the stylishly bold Maxima is a driver-focused cockpit and comfortable seating for up to five occupants. The SR2 features special Rakuda Tan semi-aniline leather appointments, similar to that available on the Nissan GT-R Premium Interior Package.
