Let there be no misconception about what Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk can do on and off the road. This little monster punches well above its weight and knocks off rivals Toyota RAV4 and Honda CRV / HRV in almost every round of comparison.
If I take the liberty of calling it a jack of all trades in the compact SUV class, not many would disagree. This SUV is well-behaved in the city with good fuel economy, fits into the tightest of parking spaces and has enough luggage space to let me stock up Christmas gifts for my entire family.
Jeep Cherokee has a Pentastar 3.2L V6 engine, Trail Rated 4×4 capability and mechanical rear axle lock. All of these prepare the Trailhawk for an exhilarating rugged off-road adventure.
The Trailhawk is more aggressive looking than other Cherokee models and an inch higher in ride height as well.
There is enough aerodynamic designing in the car but the focus remains on its off-roading capabilities. The front and rear facia is made to resist scratches and small fender benders.
All 4 doors have fiber material towards the bottom 15% of the body to make them scratch proof. Rails on the roof allow to carry light / soft cargo like camping equipment, maybe a kayak or other outdoor fun stuff.
The infotainment was good company as the sound is powered by a 506-watt Alpine premium audio system.
The driver information display is customizable to your individual taste. Easy to scroll through user-friendly graphics using buttons placed on the steering wheel itself.
Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk’s suspension and steering wheel gives you a accurate indication of what the tyres are going over right now. While the steering response is true, some might find it a bit rough for city driving.
One of the features I really admired is the dual-paned panoramic sunroof. You get to control how much light gets inside the car. In UAE, light also means heat. This sunroof you can actually use and enjoy in summers as well.
Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk easily seats 3 adults in the rear and while someone might debate that the legroom in the rear is not so great, I’d say its a compact SUV. Its a given that rear seating would not be ideal to stretch your legs.
Another handy feature is the foot-activated tail gate. This allows you to open and close the tail gate with just hovering your foot under the rear fascia as long as you have the keys in your pocket.

The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk’s cabin looks strong but is practical and very comfortable. I drove around 50 kms into the desert at medium bumpy speeds and all my bones were still in tact.
